About Our Programs
The Financial Education & Coaching team facilitates workshops and provides personalized financial coaching so individuals and couples can make financial decisions that will lead to healthier financial futures. Our goal is to help those who want to improve their financial well-being by teaching them how to make a budget and adopt sound financial practices that will provide the pathway to financial stability for them and their loved ones. There are no fees for individualized financial coaching services and most of the program’s workshops are offered at no cost.
Financial Peace University
Financial Peace University is a biblical-based curriculum that teaches participants how to handle money God’s way. The program consists of nine 1.5-hour workshops that focus on how to decrease debt and save money. To participate in the program each individual or couple is required to purchase the workbook and online Financial Peace University membership for $59. Financial Education Workshops
Our financial education workshops provide culturally relevant information to help you begin taking action towards achieving life-changing financial wellness.
If you are interested in one of the free workshops below, you may request one or more to be facilitated at your church, organization or business or inquire about community group workshops.
Everyone can benefit from budgeting and spending plans, so this class explores various budgeting tools to use for developing healthy spending choices. You also will learn how to quickly reduce debt and prevent financial struggles moving forward.
Explore the various types of insurance and assess if your current insurance coverage is sufficient for you and your family. You also will receive an overview of how to research and shop for suitable insurance products on your own or with the support of an insurance professional. This workshop is open to everyone regardless of current insurance coverage status.
In this class you will explore various mediums to search for jobs, learn ways to strengthen your resume, participate in interview role play activities and explore what career path may be best suited for your personality, skills and temperament.
This workshop is designed to improve your overall personal credit health. The workshop provides an overview of the credit scoring system, credit facts, credit report basics and key factors for improving your personal credit status.
This workshop will provides an overview of borrowing options available for post-secondary education. In addition to the tax benefits available for education, you will explore the various federal, state and private grant and loan programs available to support your education efforts. Computer access and assistance also will be available for anyone wishing to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Gain control of your personal finances with our free, confidential, one-on-one financial coaching. Through financial coaching you will learn easy-to-implement money management principles and techniques.
Our financial coaches are trained to give you practical information, strategies and accountability measures so you may begin to experience a healthier financial future.
