SpiriTrust Lutheran is now hiring a part-time Administrative Assistant (4 hours per day M-F) for the philanthropy department at the corporate office in York, PA.
The Philanthropy department raises funds and engages volunteers in support of all Spiritrust Lutheran programs.

Education/Training:A high school diploma or equivalent; Associates Degree in related field of study preferred.
Skill(s):Speaks and understands English; proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills; proficient interpersonal relations and communication skills; proficient PC skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Publisher; and valid driver’s license.
Experience:A minimum of two (2) years' experience in related positions normally required; business events coordination experience preferred.
Skills: Responsible for performing various office and clerical duties for the department; coordinating work within the department, as well as with other departments; reporting pertinent information to the immediate supervisor; responding to inquiries or requests for information.

Performs various office and clerical duties for the Foundation department as illustrated by the following:
Monitors inventory of office supplies; orders supplies as needed
Provides personal professional support to staff (setting and confirming appointments, drafting memos and correspondence, making travel arrangements, etc.).
Assists the database coordinator when needed in gift receipt and acknowledgement activities as required.
Sets up and maintains filing system for the Foundation department (i.e., hard copy files, communication materials, and other media projects.).
Coordinates the mailing of individualized communications to residents and special donors (i.e., birthday cards, welcome letters, new donor packet, etc.).
Attends and assists with special events as requested.
Provides support and appropriate materials for exhibits and events.
Assists with administrative duties for event activities.
Serves as the Foundation representative for providing coverage of the HOC reception area as required.
Assists the database coordinator with updating and maintaining accurate information in Raiser’s Edge (obituary information, address changes, weekly updates, campus admission information, special projects, etc.).
Processing incoming and outgoing mail for the Foundation.
Receiving and processing all gift receipt activities, including coding and batching all donations, preparing bank deposits and communicating to specific programs when temporarily restricted donations are received.
Accurately records time worked or not worked as illustrated by the following:
Accurately records time in and out at the start and end of each shift and at the start and end of each meal break utilizing the Agency’s timekeeping system.
Makes corrections to the timekeeping system, as necessary, on appropriate forms within the required payroll timeframe.
Coordinates specific work tasks with other personnel within the department as well as with other departments in order to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of information.
Abides by the current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented to promote an environment which is free of sexual harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the work place.
Cooperates with, participates in, and supports the adherence to all Agency standards, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness and compliance with all regulatory requirements, i.e., HIPAA, OSHA, etc.
Abides by and supports the organization’s code of conduct by exhibiting behavior that is set forth in the code of conduct. Performs duties in accordance with the code of conduct and completes annual compliance training.
Reports pertinent information to the immediate supervisor as requested, or according to an established schedule; compiles information as necessary or as directed and provides data to appropriate personnel.
Responds to inquiries relating to his/her particular area, or to requests from customers, other personnel, etc., within given timeframes and within established policy.
