SpiriTrust Lutheran is now hiring a Counselor to provide services to both school aged youth and adults in Franklin County, PA.
SpiriTrust Lutheran provides residential living, personal care, skilled nursing and rehabilitation services in six senior living communities; home healthcare, home health telemonitoring, in-home support services and hospice care; a community-based program that allows skilled nursing-eligible seniors to remain living in their homes; and a range of community outreach services, including a Health, Education and Life Enrichment Program (H.E.L.P.) Center, case management, counseling services, financial literacy programs, deaf and hard of hearing services, domestic violence/abuse intervention and several volunteer-based assistance programs.

General Responsibilities
Responsible for providing direct client services and communication; achieving goals as established in the Program’s annual operating plan; coordinating work within the Program, as well as with other Programs; reporting pertinent information to the immediate supervisor; responding to inquiries or requests for information.

Basic Qualifications

Education/Training: A Master’s degree in Behavioral Health or Counseling required; current, unencumbered Commonwealth of Pennsylvania license to provide behavioral health counseling Highly preferred.

Skill(s): Speaks and understands English; proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills; proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills; proficient analytical and assessment skills; basic PC skills; visual and auditory skills.

Experience: A minimum of one (1) year’s experience in counseling. Experience working with youth highly preferred.
