SpiriTrust Lutheran is now hiring a Life Enrichment Partner (Activities Assistant) in Asssited Living 

Occasional Hours in the Evenings 4:30pm-7:30pm 

We provide residential living, assisted living, personal care, memory support and nursing and rehabilitation services in six senior living communities; home care, in-home support, palliative care and hospice services; an innovative program for clinically frail adults aged 55 and older in need of nursing home level-of-care; counseling services; financial education and coaching; domestic abuse solutions; services for the deaf and hard of hearing; volunteer income tax assistance; and an array of volunteer programs.

Your Experience Includes

Ability or experience to design creative, interactive activities/programs
A high school diploma or equivalent
Current CPR/AED certification (or obtaining certification within 30 days of hire)
A minimum of one year experience in a related position normally required
Ability to read, speak, write and understand English
Moderate reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills
Computer skills to preferably include MircoSoft Office and internet
Demonstrated interpersonal relations and communication skills
Valid driver’s license (CDL necessary in certain programs)

General Responsibilities

Facilitates the presentation of daily life enrichment, interactive programming, and special events
Works closely with team members to design and implement a variety of creative programming  
Assists residents with activities of daily living during programming and as needed to support neighborhood team members
Understands the importance of being adaptable and flexible to meet the ever changing needs of the residents
Maintain and record resident participation
Assess residents’ life enrichment needs and interests upon moving in, annually, and as needed
Recognize and communicate resident changes to assist with resident care needs
Willingness to perform other tasks outside of the job description to provide the best quality of care for residents
