General Responsibilities
Evaluates and reassesses participant to assess mobility level and other functional abilities.  Provides and recommends therapeutic exercise.  Plans and develops care within their credentialed scope of practice.  Responsible for the occupational therapy program at LIFE; managing agency activities and material resources; implementing strategies to achieve goals developed for the assigned region as part of the annual operating plan and budget; participating in budget development coordinating work within the department, as well as with other departments; ensuring compliance with operating policies and procedures and outside regulatory requirements; communicating with appropriate management and staff personnel; providing periodic reports 

Basic Qualifications
Education/Training:  Graduate of an Occupational Therapy curriculum accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) and the American Occupational Therapy Association or other standards as accepted by the Medicare program.  Certified by National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, Inc. and licensed to practice Occupational Therapy in Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.  Must attain and maintain CPR certification.
Skill(s):  Able to speak, read, write and understand English; proficient at written and oral communication; proficient at basis math skills; effective interpersonal and communication skills; proficient computer skills; valid driver’s license and dependable means of transportation.  Thorough knowledge of occupational therapy principles and practices.
Experience: One year of experience working with the frail or elderly population
Eligibility for Employment:  Must meet eligibility requirements to work in a Medicare/Medicaid environment including criminal background and other eligibility clearances, clearance for communicable diseases and all required immunization must be current.
