Dohrman assumes chief operating officer role

Angela DohrmanAngela L. Dohrman has been named chief operating officer/senior vice president for SpiriTrust Lutheran®, effective December 12. In her expanded role she will continue to provide leadership for Senior Living and has been designated to serve as acting CEO, if needed.

Dohrman joined SpiriTrust Lutheran in 2008 as vice president for Senior Living. Her many accomplishments during her eight-year tenure with the agency include providing leadership for the expansion of The Village at Sprenkle Drive, including opening the first memory support assisted living residence in York County. She has strengthened the agency’s partnership with health systems through post-acute transitional care collaboration and is providing leadership for another soon-to-be announced partnership.

Throughout her career Dohrman has held numerous leadership positions in both professional and community organizations. Currently, she serves as vice chair of Kairos Health Systems, a provider-owned health system servicing Pennsylvania, Maryland and Delaware and for the past two years has chaired the Your Life, Your Wishes Task Force, Healthy York County Coalition. She also serves as a member of the York County Community Foundation’s Embracing Aging Advisory Committee and the Healthy York County Coalition Leadership Council.

She is the immediate past chair for LeadingAge PA, the statewide association of not-for-profit providers of services, housing and health care for seniors. In addition, the Shippensburg University graduate has served on her alma mater’s College of Education and Human Services Advisory Board.
