SpiriTrust Lutheran raises nearly $12,000 in support of hospice care
This year’s Celebration of Life and Hospice Tree of Light services expanded to include a December 5 ceremony in York. Other celebrations were held November 26 in Gettysburg and December 3 in Chambersburg.
The services provided an opportunity for individuals and families to come together to remember and honor those who were special to them and have passed on in the last year. The lights on the tree are a celebration and remembrance of the glowing testament of gratitude for the impact these individuals had on their loved ones.
At the conclusion of each Celebration of Life, the Hospice Tree of Light was lit, allowing guests to enjoy the beauty of the lights that were dedicated in memory or honor of their loved ones.
SpiriTrust Lutheran® would like to thank St. Paul Church, Chambersburg; United Lutheran Seminary, Gettysburg + Philadelphia; and Bartlett Tree Experts for partnering with us this year. We also extend a special note of gratitude for the team at SpiriTrust Lutheran®, The Village at Kelly Drive for hosting the reception following the York tree lighting ceremony.
The gifts of light not only memorialize loved ones, but also provide much needed hospice care for other SpiriTrust Lutheran hospice clients and families. As of November 15, this year’s gifts of light raised nearly $12,000 for SpiriTrust Lutheran® Home Care & Hospice to help those who cannot afford the hospice care they need. Thank you to everyone for remembering those in need this holiday season.
