CNA Training Program

SpiriTrust Lutheran® CNA Training Program

Our Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Training Program is seeking enthusiastic and driven individuals who are interested in obtaining their nursing assistant certification.

Classes are held over the course of three-and-a-half weeks, with classroom instruction at The Village at Kelly Drive and clinical rotations at The Village at Sprenkle Drive.

Participants are expected to commit to a minimum of one year of full-time employment at SpiriTrust Lutheran after completing the program and passing the certification exam. CNA hiring wages will be based on previous experience.

Based on the Certified Nurse Aide Program, approved by the PA Department of Education and offered by a variety of organizations, participants learn the following components of resident care:

  • Bathing, dressing, feeding and toileting
  • Vital sign measuring and recording
  • Catheter care
  • Range of motion exercises
  • Wheelchair transportation
  • Bed making
  • Infection control and safety awareness
  • Post-mortem care

A passion for working with older adults and desire to display dignity and compassion is a must.

Our next class will be held in September. Registration for the September class will be open from August 5-9. Check back on this page at that time for a link to the online application.
