Hospice

If you or a loved one has been diagnosed with a life-limiting illness, you don't have to face it alone.

Hospice Care at Home

SpiriTrust Lutheran® Home Care & Hospice provides in-home medical, spiritual and emotional support to help you and your family cope with the challenges and fears of a life-limiting diagnosis. You don’t have to face this emotional journey alone. Our specialized programs guide you and and your family through this difficult time.

Our Approach

Our team uses an interdisciplinary approach that means clients and their family members receive support from skilled nurses, compassionate caregivers, grief counselors, spiritual care, volunteers and more.

Education is part of our core commitment, so our caregivers help clients and families know what to expect at each stage of their loved one’s illness. With the help of hospice, both the client and their family are given the opportunity to laugh and love and say goodbye. When the time arrives, death comes with peace and with dignity.

Is Hospice the Right Choice?

Consider hospice for yourself or someone you know if:

  • It appears that continuing curative treatments will increase suffering without providing a positive change in condition.
  • A family or caregiver shows signs of stress or fatigue and appears to be overwhelmed with the responsibilities of caring for a loved one who is dying.
  • Increased hospital stays or trips to the emergency room don’t help to improve the underlying health conditions.
  • The client desires comfort care to manage their pain and symptoms.

If you or your family are unsure about hospice or would like more information, we offer a hospice consultation visit at no charge.  One of our professional hospice team members will answer questions, discuss your goals of care and help you decide if hospice is right for you.
